I decided to give this street demon a shot as I've heard many positive reviews!
http://www.demoncarbs.com/1901.asp

It will be going in a 1980 Monte Carlo with a SB350 and a th350 trans.
I'm wondering if theres anyone here who knows which accessories to buy to help for complete setup?

The installation kit

First off that wouldn't be my first choice in a carb, it's just basically a polished Edelbrock/carter carb. If you have limited carb tuning experience that carb can be tricky to tune, don't take this wrong but if your asking what kick down bracket you need then I'm assuming you haven't swapped carbs much, the link above is the Demon style I would use, if you want to save some money and don't care about the polish or reshaped bowls Holley makes several versions of the same carb. Remember all Demon does is take already proven carbs and change the appearance of them, with the exception of their removable sleeve Holley style carbs they have never actually designed a carb new just make copies. If you chose to go with that carb you picked I think you don't need the middle kit, the ball studs come in the first install kit, the TH350 bracket ( although very cheap looking) would be need as well

Thanks for the advice. It's not my first choice either, my first choice was to get a q jet carb, but I don't feel like waiting 8 weeks to get one specifically built for my needs.. and most off the shelf qjets come with limited tunability, or so ive been told by the tech department at summit

Q-jets in general are hard to tune, unless you have some experience with them, the price of the "custom" ones makes a Holley the wise choice IMO. Usually the biggest problem guys have with a Holley is they buy to big of a carb for their motor, this is when a call to their tech department can save a lot of hassle and wasted money. With the flapper plate setup on a Q-jet it only allows the air the motor can pull to go into it, so if you have a 830 Q-jet on a 305ci motor and you swap on a 830 Holley you will be very disappointed in how it runs, and you will tell everyone that Holley carbs suck, but in all reality your motor was probably only using 400cfm of the Q-jet so if the tech line would have recommended a 390-450 Holley for you it would have worked much better.

First off, it is not an AFB clone. It is an improved version of the Thermoquad, very similar to the Qjet. The Thermoquad had a crap choke and o rings that would cause flooding, both those have been eliminated or improved. It has a primary very similar to the Qjet, it will get very good mileage in proper tune. Also the plastic body is modern materials, no longer Bakelite resin. I never saw issues on the ones I had, some did. Also no special tool to set the secondary air door, just a screwdriver. It has studs set up for the 2004R/700R4, you can get a TPS for it, tuning kits etc. Supposedly it doesn't come with throttle stud for the sbc and you need a spacer or their air cleaner to clear the choke. I would get a unversial adjustable throttle and kick down bracket or Demon's recommendation. I am very tempted to get the 750 version when my 424 stroker is done.

So if it's similar to a qjet, should I just get the 750cfm carb for an extra 20 bucks and not worry about it drowning my engine like a holly?
and thanks for the advice!

anyone? Not trying to be post-whoring but my car will get kicked out from my old school shop soon, I'm in a bit of a time constraint

The 750 will work. You will need to tune it to your motor. I think the 750 has richer jetting out of the box. Try it and get a tuning kit, if it runs rich.
