So, got a message today from the guy we sold my daughter's Cherokee to 8 months ago. Seems he lost the title and thinks I should get a duplicate for him. Interesting points are, we are a tag-retaining state, and you can't get a duplicate without a current registration. No transfer, no (legal) tag. makes me wonder what they've been using for a tag.

I think he's like Edie Mclurg's comment to Steve Martin in Planes, trains, and Automobiles

I got a call from the cops once concerning a dodge shadow registered in my name that was found wrapped around a tree at the beach. I had sold that car a few months back. Lucky for me I used to work with the girl that bought it, so I just forwarded all the info, and they found her moms wallet in the car. Now I always make sure to keep my "sellers copy" of the transfer form.

Not really a stupid thing done but a stupid price, posted today in a FB group. Thought people here might get a good laugh, $1,500 for a pair of Regal fenders. The lights are unique but not that rare.
