Looking for imput. I bought a 5.7 350 (1987-95) from jegs and was planning to drop it in my 77 Scottsdale 4x4 4spd to replace the old rusted out 350. Looking to see what I’ll need to get in order to covert this motor from tbi to carb, because I didn’t realize this was a tbi engine when I purchased it. obviously I’ll need a new intake manifold, but what about my mechanical fuel pump? This block has no plumbing for it as my stock 77 did. Will I need an in-line electric fuel pump now? So far the only helpful kit I’ve found was this on summing racing:
Summit Racing® Intake Manifold and Installation Pro Packs 03-0108

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Don’t want to have to convert the pickup and existing harness to tbi, that’s why I’d like to stick with the carb set up

Yes you'll need an inline fuel pump an regulator.

I think if l remember right l swapped out the camshaft and bought an intake for it. I'm 100% sure on intake and 95% on the camshaft.

You can ream the intake bolts out on your current 4 barrel intake.
