Okay, I'm working on a 88 Olds Cutlass Supreme Classic, I've managed to strip out 2 bolt holes on the drivers side where the bar bushing clam shell attaches to the frame... that being said, I've searched on here and read multiple ways of fixing this.(drill the frame them put in a nut and washer, welding a nut in place, putting u-bolts in to make studs, rivnuts, helicoils, ect.) My question is that i need to fix this but cant bring myself to cut and access hole in the frame to do the nut and washer or weld in a plate/nut ect... what has been the longest lasting repair you guys have done with this? just buy the riv nuts and drill the frame to accept them and use an allen headed bolt for the tight clearance? just looking for opinions. going to do all 4 so i won't have this issue again.
