When removing or installing a G-Body 7.5 rear end is it necessary to remove the sway bar from the trailing arms or can it stay put in place to install the rear end?

You’ll probably not get the lower arms back in place with it still on. Remove it.

if you're removing the arms with the rear end then they can stay,if you're planning on just rolling the rear out wheels and all it'll be fine.if you're leaving the arms on the frame and removing just the housing with out the wheels(say with a jack under it and dragging it out) then remove the bar.

Then remove the bar if you're leaving the control arm fronts still attached.

if you do not remove at least one side of the bar you'll end up struggling and cursing to get the lowers lined up to install the bolts
