Just curious if anyone has swapped out their T-Handle console shifter "knob" to a ball style or camaro/firebird style? Obviously many here have swapped out for B&Ms, Hurst and the Killduff but I'm talking a cheap knob/button swap not a $300+ entire shifter swap.

This looks cool (but is for early A-bodies):

2nd Gen Camaro:

Not sure if 3rd gen would work:

Crappy picture, not sure if it will load because its a photobucket copy any paste from a local guy I know. Regardless, in the picture below there is a 4th gen firebird shifter handle on a T type stock shifter arm.

He used a 4th gen firebird handle, for whatever reason its turned 90 degrees here?

So yeah, if you want to go with something less obnoxious, a camaro one is a bit better fit.

I personally have always like the T handle style, it feels more ergonomically correct especially in my Monte where I have to constantly shift up and down.
To me I feel like my hand just rests naturally on the T handle.

I used a Pilot shift knob PM 2112S (there are a bunch of them on E Bay). It’s all aluminum…..on mine, I bead blasted the handle to give it a little “tooth” and painted it interior color.

Don’t mind the dust SOMEBODY had left the window down yesterday and a big old dust devil went thru the area. LOL

I did have to add a simple bushing to the top of the shaft so the handle didn’t wobble (just a couple pieces if PCV pipe fit into one another to take up the slop. Works really nice and is comfortable.
