So I removed my t-top gaskets for replacement. There's a couple holes under there. I knew there was at least one hole before I started. That's fine.

My problem is the little channel that holds the gasket is rotting off. The passenger side is two inches shorter than the driver's side now. Is there somewhere I can buy these to either replace or repair what I have.

They sell everything new in the aftermarket to repair that and even have stainless kits if you are going to keep your car forever.

Oh crap I found it. That looks like a ton of work.

it doesn't look too bad to me, remove the windshield and cut the A pillers at the right spot, line up the repair panel on the A piller and weld...I would tack it first and lay the windshield in place to make sure the repair panel lines up.

Oh it doesn't look too bad. But we've got my wife's Ranchero cut into so many pieces replacing the floors, rockers, and quarter panels. I don't want to get in to this right now.

I found I can buy the gasket retainers separate. I'm going to just patch up the holes and replace those this year. Maybe get deeper into it later. I have way too much to do this year. Lol

I haven't bought the gaskets yet. I I just had to pull it apart to see how bad it actually was.

one thing you may want to consider buying the repair panel while it is still available if the price is reasonable. It may not be available if you ever want to do that repair and if not you could always sell it...

You make a good point. I've been in this situation multiple times over the past 7 years of Chevy Chevette ownership. I don't want to get caught in that same situation here. The part actually seems to be unavailable right now. But I'm prepared to order one.

I did one and there’s no cutting the a pillars. More like cut a thousand spot welds on the original piece and remove. Grind surfaces to be welded. Cut holes in new piece for welds and install. Don’t burn your paint or interior in the process. Or if you’re good, you might be able to make patch pieces, but it’s probably the same amount of work in the end to replace the whole header.

The bad thing I found was that even though the a pillars looked good on the outside, they were rotting badly from the inside and ended up having to be replaced too.

And that price on Dixi is awesome, just double checked Ebay, they are way more.
