So, I just had an epiphany. It's my understanding that some Cutlasses came with the T50 5 spd. I know from my Hbody days that trans is an internal rail shifted trans, like the T5 I used in my GP. Of course, I am obsessing of the proper floor close out for my car. Originally I was going to offset my shifter and use the 4 SPD hump/boot/trim. Here comes the epiphany, that is like not how GM did it for the T50 cars. So I am looking for some pics of how it was done in T50 cars. Pics of guaranteed, 100% GM installations.

Shout out to Sammieizzy for the post which gave me this thought bubble.

Not sure if this will help but here's the p/n's for the boot: 560761, retainer ring: 560817, floor/trim cover: 466599. It used six screws for the retainer ring, p/n 11503396.

I don’t have photos, but I can tell you from exp that it’s centered, and further back on the hump. Usually had with buckets and no console bc no room for it.

My GP had one for a while, and the shifter would bump up on the split bench, even pushed back all the way. I think 🤔 it’s been a while.

Here are some pictures I saved of a '78 Cutlass Salon 4 door (260 v8 & T50) that was on eBay a few years ago. The shifter definitely sits farther back than the stock 3 & 4 speed Saginaw shifters do, but it looks to me like it's still offset to the driver's side of the tunnel.

78regal350 nailed it with the pics. Here are some from the underside of my calais. As you can see, its not just a hole. There is a finish trim plate that is welded to the floor. Similiar to the 4spd cars. No one repops this piece. But you can get pretty close with a good shifter boot and trim ring.

So it looks like the 4 SPD floor hump but moved more to the center. Thanks everyone, I'll have to think about how to handle it
