ok guys so what tach are yall running and wered you put it?

i got a 5" silver faced 10k rpm sport comp recall tach mounted in front of the instrument panel, off to the side of the speedo in front of the 2 round vents, and under the the overhang of the stock dash. confused? i can take pics if ya want

pics would be awsome, thanks.
i was thinking about mounting one on the pillar or ontop of the radio being they have that nice little lip

Monte dashes r similar design to the Regal and I mounted mine on the side of the instrument cluster just above the radio area lip. A-Pillar made it too ricey and blocked too much of my view. I don't like it where it is, but couldn't find a better place. Install a Grand Prix cockpit style dash and install it where the factory gauges go. I'd like to do it that way.

what about cutting the clock out and puttingit there

I have a GP so mine is different. But I have an Autometer mini tach mounted on top of my steereing column. I plan on doing the whole panel in aluminum and all Autometer gauges. Hopefully soon. here are some old pics but my tach is still the same.

The flash is too much but you can still make it out.

i have a summit brand tach and i mounted mine just to the right of the steering wheel on top of the dash, litle different and its easy to see.

I have an Auto-Guage 5" 10,000 rpm, memory tach, mounted on the pillar. I don't think its ricey, its the best place to be able to see it without taking your eyes off the track. Is it ricy when they are on the pillar in a 4cyl auto civic, yes. but not when placed there (for a reason) in an 11.5 second monte carlo ss. i don't want to have to look down by the radio to see my rev.s at 90+ mph

i had gotten a pillar mount from gbodyparts, but the fit is very poor and i dont like it. on the regal i cannot find a way to mount it on the column cuz of the stupid square guages and the darn tilt wheel, any ore suggestions?
