I agree about the price but i went and bought ductseal at Lowes today and there is no way it will work, it's very watery and the only kind they had was a DO brand water based 64 oz tub for $15.00 and it would have lasted all of us for our lifetimes if it had worked...lol, i'll take this stuff back and find the rope caulk, thx again everybody for your help..

The kind of duct seal I'm referring to is this style which happens to be EMC brand, I use it to seal all different things these pieces are probably five years old and still as plyable as it was new.

i'm gonna take back the tub tomorrow and maybe try another store, my lowes definetly didn't have that stuff but that is what i need right there.
If Lowes does not have it try an electrical supply store, that is the industry it is designed for.

like timo said , its a "caulk tape" or you can find on McMastercarr's website a butyl tape. IIRC they used butyl tape to seal all the glass to the body

UPDATE.... Found the ductseal, lowes carries it in the electrical aisle. changed the lights today and it worked great to plug the excess holes. Thx again for everybodys help.

Not trying to hijack your thread, but Is there any hidden bolts holding the taillights in? Ive undone 5 or 6 bolts that appear to be holding it in, and it still wont budge! any tips? thanks

edit i actually got it off right after i posted this, was just very stuck by the sealant!
