I'm just a hair shy of 7' tall and I literally can't even sit in my Cutlass. It has a 60/40 bench currently. I'm definitely going to buckets but I'm wondering if anyone has encountered this problem before. Any help is much appreciated.

My buddy was about that tall and 300 pounds. I drilled holes for the four seat mount bolts farther back. I lifted the two rears with those fat spacers they used on air conditioning compressors but any thick spacer/washers will work. Just watch out what is under the floor where you drill. Or you can weld brackets to raise the rear of the seats and position them farther back. Be aware that for him he was practically sitting in the back seat. But he could finally stretch out and drive safely. Here is how I mounted Firebird seats in my wagon.

I made brackets for my Regal to relocate my seats farther back out of 1/4" plate and grade 8 bolts.

RIP out the front seat and sit in the back. Lol I am also tall 6'7" and have modified many seats. I did the same thing that 565bbchevy did. Easy mod.

Did you use factory buckets or something aftermarket?
60/40 power seats for now and I will later convert to buckets/console and use the power tracks on both sides like I did in my Monte

I used '94 Firebird bucket seats on '95 LeSabre power seat bases. Most GM seats and bases interchange pretty easily. It is the floor tracks that are different depending on the model. On my '05 Sunfire I also used '95 LeSabre bases and 3 out of the 4 bolts lined up. But when I began teaching my Grandson how to drive, him being very tall, I had to move them back. I moved the power seats rearward so that in the full forward position I fit the pedals and in the full rearward position he fits the pedals. I again used the AC spacers to lift up the rear mounts because the floor drops away.
