Guys, in my 78 Salon with ralley (gauges) cluster, I used 1988 centerbolt heads on my Chevy 350. The temp sensor hole in the head is a little smaller so the ACDelco replacement sensor won't fit. Is there another sensor that will fit and have the same reading ability? I usually just install aftermarket gauges under the dash but wanted my cluster gauges to work correctly without using other ones

If it's a stock gauge then the gm sender that is used on those heads should work

...or opt to put the sensor in the water neck or intake manifold.

I have mine in the water neck. I don't know how accurate it is, but at least I get some sort of reading to go by. Factory gauges aren't the most accurate from the get-go.
