th350 to 700r

If I swap from a th350 to 700r do I have to get another crossmember or their compatible?

You need a cross member for the 700R4.

A few years a go I did the same swap, I used the stock G body th350 crossmember. I had to cut a little off the mount where the transmission mounts to the crossmember, Because the mount would hit the 700R4 pan. I also drilled a new hole in the mount after it was cut.

don't you have to shorten/lengthen the driveshaft too?

Yes, by 3 inches. Driveshaft should be 49.5 inches center to center of the u-joints.

I would measure twice and cut once. I removed 2.5/8" from my 81 Malibu drive shaft.
