Google is giving me very mixed results on this topic. I'm running a bone stock 454 and th400. The trans is out of a truck and has the bolt on yoke. I ordered a slip yoke from my local driveshaft shop, told him what i was doing, and i recieved a standard car slip yoke with no counterbore, which many say i need.
From my research, half the builders use this yoke and say it works fine behind 600hp big blocks. The other half show pictures of when they used it and caused thousands of dollars in damage to the car, trans, diff, etc. and recommend using the counterbored slip yoke.
HELP!
