a 70 nova ss will go for more than $30,000 so I can see someone paying $3,000 for that if it's real

I think he added an extra zero.
Should be maybe 290
I've seen similar on there for about 300
Or..... He's smoking Crack!

I don't understand why he has such great feedback????

This is a very rare limited run air cleaner that was for the 1970 L78 Nova
I don't think in that condition with it needing a restoration it will fetch that kind of money but the price is not that far off for what they go for.
Also the fact that there are 19 people watching shows there is some interest in it and the guy does have a very good rating.
I personally would spend the money on a $400 reproduction first but I also have never been all too concerned about being original.

I guess I'm just an old fart. LOL I've had more Novas than I can remember. I know they're pricey now, but the most expensive one I had cost me $200, A '69 307 with AC. Most were the "please take it for free" variety. I don't care how rich you are, it's still crazy to me.

He's not crazy asking that price, those parts are impossible to find and here's a post from another forum about them..."I've seen the dual snorkels sell anywhere from $1800 to $6000. I have sold 2 of them in the last 14 months..... one for $1200 that needed a fair amount of work and one for $2200 that was straight but needed a resto job. The hard part to find for these air cleaners is the clips that support the PVC hose around the back!! I've only seen the 2 clips for sale once and they sold for $800!"

Im thinking that if I was in the restoration business and was restoring an original 70 SS that was going to fetch 40 grand when finished that I would pay a couple grand for an original. If I were working on a resto-mod, I'd just go for an equivalent reproduction unit. I'm neither of the above, just a weekend warrior; so Id just be looking for any dual snorkel in good condition. Ha
