Very nice cars and trucks at that show. But what is that Cavalier doing at that place. lol
That is what much of the FB complaints were about, could be argued it is a modern rat rod interpretation

Must be getting tired, did not particularly notice that Cavalier. What I did notice was that white C-1 Vette Nomad edition, which is a full custom that I think i might have seen in a magazine or maybe a video because the factory, to the best of my knowledge, never came out with a production version, making this one either a refugee from the design studio or the product of a custom fabricator. VERY Nice but probably high zoot in the $$$$ department.

After that, it was that green 69 COPO Camaro, wished there were more pictures of it to ogle, and then the shot of the Falfa 55 Chev beside the Milner 32 Coupe; the actual stars of American Graffiti. Read somewhere that the Coupe was bought for cheap just for the movie and that they threw the speed parts at it to dress it up. The intake is supposed to be very rare 4 x2 edition made by Man-a-Fre, which mfgr only existed for maybe 20? years before going out of business?? I think they actually used a stunt double for the 55 as when it gets rolled over during the race, there is only one tail pipe evident and the street scenes, I seem to recall showed duallies. And then there was that torpedo back two door sedan, think maybe a late 40's Pontiac from the hood chrome. Very neat and detailed paint work for the roof. Trivia.

I only took 4 pictures at this show main because I have seen most of the cars there. But the 68 Z28 Camaro with the original 302 was a first.

A 68 DZ 302 is right up there on the list of holy grail vehicles that I would love to have. There was one locally but the owner died unexpectedly and his kids blew it down the road for super cheap. Back story on it, as I was told by a buddy of mine who knew the owner, was that at some point it had had a motor swap and the '02 had become a 350. Not sure, did not know Joe all that well and he was a bit of a "Character". How so? Urban rumor had it that when Joe got twitchy or antsy he'd check himself into the local funny farm for a couple of sessions on their "electrical therapy" machines. Too bad because his 02 was a very pretty and clean machine that he seldom drove; took very good care of it. Only heard about the whole thing after the fact so never got a chance to throw a bid at it. Probably all for the best, back then I hadn't built the garage and those cars didn't deserve to spend winter under a cover and out in a snow bank.

By any chance would there by other pictures of that car that might get posted??

My 79 silverado, the one that's sitting in the warehouse space ive right now in Massachusetts after having been stolen and heavily stripped? It has a 1969 DZ 302 in it. Of everything the took on the truck - trim, wheels, exhaust, grille and trim, doors, tailgate, whole interior.... the one thing they LEFT was the engine, and, the uni-case transmission.

I guess to them it was 'just an old small block chebby, thats junk, ain't no ls' and it's probably the most valuable 2 pieces on the truck. Carb to pan its intact and #s matching. So, sucks everything else was lost, but... 'shrug'.
