She is a b-a-d b-i-t-c-h. Forgot just how big 18x10’s with 295’s are.

Laughs in 19x12s and 325s. (and cries inside hiding his lackluster body work abilities).

I accidentally snagged my leg on the corner of the quarter extension one day, and snapped it off:

It's nice to see I am not the only person who does the careless things that damage stuff (causing the need to upgrade).

This should be an exciting winter.

I know I said I was gonna go after cleaning and polishing the driver’s side wheels and tires next, but the apathy and procrastination on polishing tonight was real. So I decided to tackle the seats and harnesses instead. I needed a little break from polishing.

What I started with:

Pretty sad. I removed the harnesses, then cleaned the seats extremely well, top to bottom, front to back, inside and out. Then worked in copious amounts of Mothers leather conditioner to rehydrate them. This took a couple of applications, the leather was pretty dry. (And yes, they are real leather. Corbeau makes a damn fine seat).
Good thing I was an automotive detailer a million years ago in another life, you never know what skills are going to come in handy later on.

Next I cleaned up the harnesses, these were by far the biggest PITA to do. So many loops, buckles and ends. Once I had both harnesses done, I reinstalled them back into the car.

Finished end result, soooo much more betterer.

Now I can finally sit behind the wheel and make vroom vroom noises again!
😅
Tomorrow I’ll get back to the polishing.

I love those wheels Donovan, classic but allow a modern tire selection. Those brakes should do some serious stopping. Really curious on what the interior plans are and the final exterior colour as well. Cleaning makes a huge difference, almost driving my Dakota tolerable, it looked as bad inside, windows open the past two years in the Saskatchewan dust bowl.

3 down, 1 to go.

Didn’t get out to the shop last night due to a disastrous day at work, but right back at it tonight.

Also got the trunk cleaned up/out, blown out and vacuumed. Love that AccuAir air management system with twin Viair compressors. Makes manual ride height adjustments a breeze, or you can just leave it alone and let the computer self level it at the desired height.

Of course, it’s fun just to play with too.

Completely agree with you there. It does to mine too. I have no freaking idea how in the hell that happened either. I (thought) I had so meticulously planned out the hardline routing to the compressors, but when I got to hooking them up, I had the two lines run to the wrong bulkheads. So the flexible lines got crossed temporarily to keep me moving forward.

It’s definitely on the list for this year to get addressed. 😠

That stuff happens. I need to go back through your thread, I didn't remember the trunk work looking that good, love the metal work above the axle and reminds me to buy a bead roller although I'm trying to pull the trigger on a 36" box brake right now.

A 36” box and pan would be nice, a free standing 48” would be even better.

Thanks on the metal work in the trunk, there was a lot that went into it. Raised 2 1/2” above the axle, new mount supports for the body mounts in that area, and scratch made rear firewall moved ahead 3”.
I have so many areas of the car that are only partially finished, I really need to get back to them. The trunk being one of many.
