Donnelly and Gentex both have/had contracts with GM to supply mirrors. There was another one too back in that era, can't recall now who it was. Gentex were more apt to be the ones with the OnStar guts and pricier optioned ones.

By volume, I think Gentex and Donnelly still have the market. Both companies are in my back yard (Holland Michigan) and I have several friends still working for them. The company I work for developed Homelink and after several years of high profits eventually sold the patent rights to Motus Technologies also in Holland. A lot of people in my area have swapped in Gentex mirrors into their cars.

Do anyone know if a 3rd Generation F-body 82-92 Camaro/Firebird A/C parts will swap over to a G-body or if they are the same as a g-body car? I ask that because I am putting a LS engine in my car & I'm trying to figure out if this A/C hose & adapter kit will work for my car while using the LS A/C compressor. I have been searching all over & cant find a kit like this that's made specifically for a g-body but if the 3rd Gen parts will swap over I know this kit will work for me.

Yes they fit. I'm using them on my 5.3LS swap, used the hose assembly, condenser, Gbody evap can, 4th gen Camaro high pressure switch, R4 compressor, LSbrackets.com R4 2010-2013 Camaro relocate bracket

I found an '86 and an '88 Cutlass Ciera, both FWD at my local wrecking yard. The '88 has a perfect dashboard. Will it fit in a '78 gbody?

Some items not commonly known.

GMC and Chevy Vans late 70's & 80's used the HO 305, same build spec. as the SS Monte Carlo.

Ambulances used the 350 From Corvette.

1st Gen Dodge Dakota, some came with square fuel tank. Fitted for HI pressure Fuel Pump, DOT approved, and baffled. Essentially a factory built fuel cell.

The 305 776, 777, 201 & 202 Blocks have the casting and main webbing stout enough to covert to 4 bolt mains.

Some Vans assembled in Canada have the 4 bolt main 305's, very, very rare. Essentially an SS Monte 305 with 4 bolt mains.

The 69 & '70 441 truck head is the same cast and flow design as the "Camel Hump" except with a 76 CC chamber.

Some late model Cadillacs used a oil cooler with mounted fan, comparable to Summit's 300 dollar unit.

W body buckets and rear seat are really close. These are out of a 94 cutlass. Good option if you want power seats and have a split bench but can't find G body bucket tracks.

Rear seat folds down.

Rear seat upper cushion needs some brackets up top to latch into the G body hooks

84-88 fiero or Fbird steering wheels are the same as GP wheels, just have to swap the bracket/standoff.

For T5/T56 people

You can buy repop shifter boot leather pre-stitched online from a 4th gen F body. Cut the center out of the shifter plate and glue leather to the G body plate.
