Yesterday was the annual Harvest Days at the local U-Pull-It. $40 for a full wheel barrow..., you have to successfully push it through a short obstacle course without losing any parts before being allowed to leave.

I filled up 2 wheel barrows:

Grabbed 3 different sized truck tires. All have very few miles with 2021 date stamps, should be able to flip them on Marketplace for $100 ea.

The only g-body, an 84 4 door regal, was mostly complete. I would have done a more thorough job of stripping it (dash, seatbelts are decent).....but I had to leave early for a college football game.

Grabbed a 4l80e......lucky for me it was just lying on the ground. Worst case, I have a $200 core, best case....I roll the dice, run it, and it ends up being a fully functional unit.

Also picked up 2 jeep steering shafts, a b-body stay down license plate holder, and 3 RKE modules.

2 90's Le Sabre gauge clusters, with some modification, these can be used in place of sweep style cutlass and regal clusters.

2 early 90's chevy van clusters with electronic speedometers.

Also, sn95 rear disk brakes, a random collection of LS truck injectors, a bunch of ford relays with sockets (mostly from crown vics.....many of them are 70 amp), a bumper trim piece for a buddy of mine from a late 90's suburban, 3 ford truck trans coolers, escalade steering wheel and C pillar vent covers for resale, a brake controller, and a couple of air bags (4th of July fun).

Anyone else have local yards with wheelbarrow....all you can carry specials...etc.?

Recently, no. Back in the day my buddy and I went to one that was an all you can carry. We took the entire front clip off an 84 Cutlass. I grabbed some seats out of a Monte Carlo and we carried it across the line. Admission was $25/person. Best part was the clip was same color as the car it needed to go on.

Nice finds!

Did you get the remote with the RKE systems or just the transponder side?

Do you just buy new remotes online or something?

A RKE system is something i'd like to put on my 2+2 this winter.

I got three from the bucket o'fobs at the one one yard. Just gotta make sure the fobs have the same model/FCC ID. The '97-'99/'00 Monte/Lumina ID is ABO1502R for the module & ABO1502T for the fobs. The font on the fobs the O & 0 will look the same.

None of the junkyards in my area do anything like that, never even heard of such an event before. Really seems like parts are cheaper in the Dakotas.

The U-Pull & Pay outside of Pittsburgh has those special sales deals. Best is the $50 wheel barrel day & you see guys with a complete engine & transmission challenging the strenth of the wheel barrel.

we have something similar in my area but it has to fit under the bar at the wheelbarrow exit. take a guess how high that bar is? (the barrow itself barely clears)
considering the cost of fuses and relays, maybe next time I'll just fill up the barrow with all the turn signal flashers, bulbs, relays, and fuses, I could make a mint out of it! of course, I'd have to keep track of what went in what car!
