The Monte Is Home !!!

I got the new intake gaskets installed yesterday and fired up the 513 and set the timing.
Sure was nice to drive my own car again after driving Mark's 406 SBC powered 1972 Buick Skylark GS clone.
It's a bench seat,column shifter car with dual exhaust,H pipe and two unknown glasspack mufflers and man is that car loud,LOL
Now its time to start getting the Monte cleaned up a bit.

That's good to hear, it still makes me wonder what would cause that intake gasket failure in the first place.

Went for a drive today and the brakes felt a bit wonky.
Got home and found the center of the right front wheel was missing,along with the grease cap.
Jacked it up and grabbed the wheel and man talk about lots of play !!
Pulled the wheel and rotor and found the wheel bearing was shot.
Got all the pieces off and cleaned the spindle and rotor.
Hoping to get parts from NAPA Monday morning and get'r fixed...
If it aint one thing it's another.

Glad it was just an intake gasket. Otherwise, you could have 100 page thread about nothing.

I just got off the phone with our "Go To Girl" Paige at NAPA.
She is getting my parts together,some of them are coming from another store,but she should have them all by mid-morning.
I'm going to put new wheel bearings on both sides and Paige is making sure to get me the "Good Ones".
And I get my buddy Mark's shop discount !!
Should be driving the Monte again today !!
