I didn't have as much time today to get things done but still got my C pillars 95% finish. Picked up some tools and supplies this morning so that soaked up some time. Also had a buddy swing by and we took the bumper off, so I can now clean up the seam sealer disaster around the back of the car and in the trunk.

I filled the low spots on the passenger side with a skim of filler and put some glazing putty on the drivers side.

Once the filler on the drivers side set up I blocked it out and skimmed it with putty.

The passenger side had a couple slight lows that I did a little touch up on. But it feels very good.

The passenger side is fully blocked out with 80 grit and feels silky smooth. Very satisfied with how it came out. Drivers side needs a tad more blocking, it wasnt quite set when I started so I left it for now.

While all this was going on, and during set up waits for the filler and putty I got the drivers rear quarter outer wheelhouse patch rough fit up. Just have to make up a peice for the drop and trim the small piece for the inner wheelhouse to fit it in and itll be weld out time.

Damn thing had to rust out where 4 panels meet. Pretty sure the welding out is going to suck 100%

Did some evaluation of the next rust spot that needs to be fixed. Pretty sure its going to suck even more. The inner wheelhouse where the trunk floor meets just about the axle. Another 4 panel meeting place that GM did a horrid job of sealing and matching panels. Fun fun.

Finally plowed through this entire thread. I must say that your patience vastly exceed mine. I'd have ripped a massive open header untuned burnout long before you idled that beast out of your garage. Like you, my build will require a great deal of body work learning. It'll be a couple years before I get to that point, but eventually I will. I look forward to your progress and please prioritize boost over prettiness.

It really helps that you are a good welder. I need to do the rear quarters on my 70S and welding is definitely my biggest challenge.

It's mostly the welder, but I'm not too bad at it. Should have another long string of updates later next week when work dies down, and hopefully the 28th, The legendary Rktpwrd Skunkworks Garage is threatening to come give me a hand for a day... Things are gonna get real professional looking.

Had a little time today and tested out the stud gun. Pulled all the hail dents in the rear roof section.

Only one or two more small spots to fix and I can do the filling on the rear half. Stud gun made pretty quick work of it

Took my time and used the edge of my 3" cut off tool on the stud tips. Moved from spot to spot letting them cool.

The metal isn't all totally flush with the surrounding areas but I'll only have a couple thousandths of filler in the spots. Should be about perfect.

Most of the day tomorrow will be getting after it. Should have a good update afterwards.
