I just get out there and stay hooked up. I do it because I have and have always had a passion for old cars. I cuss the heck out of them but I love it :wax:

...And we missed the magic of Robert levitating the body off the old chassis and onto the new one, solo. I read it involved two cinderblocks.

This would be a lot of fab work but I think it would be cool. I just set it in there and it's too high. I would actually build brackets for it to bolt in. This way it could be removed and a stock dash reinstalled. I would completely smooth it. I'd also paint the center where aluminum trim goes. I'd paint the center gloss black with the same size red pinstripe as factory Monte dash trim has. The rest of the dash would be the dark maroon interior color. I'd paint the chrome dash bezels black. I'm pretty sure I could build a back panel and use the Monte speedo and tach. I'd put the 4 small gauges in a row in the center but closer to the speedo gauge bezel. I'd also build some extension caps to bolt onto the upper door panels. I got the door garnish mouldings from the car I cut the dash from. They meet up to the dash corners.

That's definitely interesting! It seems to fit surprisingly well. With your level of fab skills I think it could turn out well, and would be unique as hell!

It's probably going to take 4-6 days for me to do the fab work on the dash swap. With our G Body Cruise coming up, I need to get back on the Salon. It's nearly completed and it HAS to go on that cruise.
