THE SPEED CHANNELS GONE

I never liked watching the Speed Channel... it always made me jealous, hahaha

With that being said I will agree that its a shame to lose TV programming for us car-people, but in all reality I would much rather do something productive like work on my own car as opposed to watch other people do it on TV.
Car-guys consist of an enormous market, so I have a feeling that it wont be long before we have a similar channel taking its place.

nascar on here on speed

MavTv will be picking up Chop Cut Rebuild for the next season, and Gearz says they will announce a new network this fall. Monster Jam says "Stay Tuned" when you check for tv listings. I agree that Velocity has some good shows. I think they are picking up My Classic Car as well. Luckily for me, my two favorite shows (Grand-Am, Rolex and Conti Tire Series and Lucus Oil offroad Short Course seem to still be in the lineup on the new Fox1. But those are also available online on Grand Am's website. So if they do not stay, I can still watch. Must say I will miss some of the other shows like Pass Time, HotRod TV etc etc.

I have Time Warner with their HD package. They have Velocity that has lots of car shows on it. It used to be called HD Theater. Better than Speed had been for a while IMO.
I have direct tv. I love that velocity channel....All girls garage is pretty good. It's good to see Jessie Combs back on tv.

I was so mad yesterday when I tried to find pass time. Me and my 6 year old bet on what car (pinks and past time) would win and I would always pick the one that would loose. Now what as I going to watch Saturday morning when they get me up at 9am.

A STATEMENT FROM STACEY DAVID:
"Hey everyone,
By now I am sure that most of you have noticed that the SPEED Channel and all of it’s automotive programming has gone the way of the dinosaurs, Dodo bird, and 8-track tape. It’s replacement is called FOX SPORTS 1, and with that Fox hopes they can compete with ESPN in covering sporting events like baseball. This was a decision that FOX made awhile back to try and cater to a larger sports market. Whether this was a wise decision on their part remains to be seen, but we wish them the best.
In the meantime, We had a GREAT 6 year run on SPEED, and we’d like to take this time to say a big THANK YOU to all the people that watched GEARZ over the years, and all the support you’ve given us. As far as GEARZ goes, we are in the middle of negotiations with several networks to not only continue GEARZ, but to also bring to life some other shows that have been knocking around in my head for a while. All very exciting stuff, with tremendous opportunities! As soon as we are able, we will make an announcement of what Network we are going to be on, and what we are going to do. In the meantime, we’ll keep you informed on the website and here on Facebook with what’s going on with various projects, and who’s dropping by."

Stacey David

From the My Classic Car Web site "Starting in January 2014, MCC will also be airing on Velocity (a Discovery network) Sunday 9:30am ET and Saturday 6:30am ET. Velocity is an upscale high definition network with an automotive focus and will reach 60 million households through DIRECTV (281), DISH (364), and most cable providers."

From Passtimes FB page :
As you all are aware by now PASSTIME is over, SPEED is going in a new direction and we at PASSTIME wish them the best, they have been a great partner over the last 149 episodes.

So Ken is hard at it at Texas Chassis Works, hit him up on FB and support him.

Brett continues to appear in unexpected places, he is a great actor and you could make a game out of "Spot the Big Schwag"

Paige will be back never count her out.

I have moved on to Produce a new show on MAVTV called "Won & Done"

And with your help will be able to try a scripted crime drama ( http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1025439971/lily-0 )
