i think he is talking about something like this. first pic of a 57 371cu in 3x2 set up, plug wires located with a bolt on loom to valve cover.

if so, this was early to mid fifties. i have never seen an olds 350 come from the factory in dark green or with plug wire looms like this.

there a company making similiar product from small block chevy with center bolt valve covers, '87 and up. see second pic. 0908sr_02_z+1957_oldsmobile_golden_rocket_engine+v-8.jpg 80-10699.jpg

Read a little on these. They are considered gen 1's, 49-64. Parts won't interchange with the 64 and up engines. Performance parts would be pretty iffy, like swap meet scrounging.
