I think there is a Gen 3, now with DI. If these motors weren't huge, they would be great to swap into things, but the size compared to an LS makes Pickup truck swaps a lot more likely than sportscar swaps.

Dollar for dollar, and the options you get with it, it pained me to admit the mustang was/is the best buy going.

End of year incentives, costco discount on top, and I bought mine with every option except the glass roof and navigation - premium pkg, comfort pkg, pony pkg, at, performance pkg, mca grille treatment, etc for 22k out the door. Was around 40k on sticker. Been very, very happy with it.

I was a Buick guy growing up thanks to my Dad being one all his life. When I got the racing bug I became a Chevy fan and still am today. But I always had a special place for Mustangs. I owned a few and once I take care of some family issues and have things settling down, my next new car will be another Mustang. Might be in a few years, but I always regret having to sell those cars, but life sometimes makes those choices we cannot escape.

That's a clean '89! Yeah, the Coyotes make a ton of power, and rev like a Honda, but they're physically huge. LS still makes more sense in most cases for a swap.

I hated the Fox platform Mustang as a kid.... but have had 2 recently. Still own the 4 Eyed car, but sold the 92 Euro Nose to buy my 442.....

I've got a 4 eyed mustang and actually going to look at another Ford on Friday. Had a choice of ford or chevy for my tow vehicle and went with Ford for two reasons (after being loyal GM). More torque being the main reason and I still have a bad taste in my mouth from getting screwed with GM filing bankruptcy.
