Surprise AZ.
I have been thinking about buying one of these mid height lifts for my home garage. I found one on sale $400 off the regular price with Free shipping.
Anybody out there have any experience, good or bad with one of these? BendPak LR-60P. 6000 Lb cap.

Where did you find that price? We had six of them in the bodyshop I worked in, they are great. You still end up on a creeper to do under-car stuff but things like brakes, gears etc are much easier. The only downfall is exhaust works is almost impossible because of the cross-braces. A car that sits very low will need some wood blocks before the ramps to keep it from rubbing. I say they are the safest lift to use, no arms to set just pull over it and it picks it up by the frame rails

If your thinking about one, that is a good price on a quality lift, two of the lifts we had in the bodyshop were that brand. Snap-on makes a nice one as well but it is over 6x the price

You could get a good used 2 post lift for $1200-1500. If you find one get it, definitely 100x better than what you're considering. :2cents:

If you have the ceiling height I would agree, but most home type garages don't. And the concrete has to be able to support the post without pulling out

I agree that style would be great for a standard garage with a low ceiling plus you can roll that out in a driveway and use it, you can't do that with a 2 post.
I was looking at a similar lift but each side was separate and had it's own hydraulic pump it was still a low/mid rise lift and portable but you would have access to the center to do exhaust, trans etc. kind of work.
If I am going to spend the money to raise my car I would still want access to everything underneath even if I am on a creeper.

We had a similar lift for our tire bay at a shop I used to work for. That's what it was good for...not much else. It's better than jack stands but no comparison to a 2-post. All depends on your budget and what you have room for.
