So i really wanted to paint my car flat black. But it seems that everyone has either done that or has that. So i decided to go with something really out of the norm. I have yet to see anyone else do it out here where i live. I did all the work myself the MC was super straight no dent no rust. So i was pretty lucky also it had all the original clear coat almost all gone. So i didnt need to sand alot. I hit it with 600the grit wetsand. Did the door jams flat black. And the paint is the bed liner stuff people use to protect there truck beds. Overall i spent less than 3 hundred dollars. I love how it came out. Let me know what you guys think. Ive own nothing but Monte Carlos. And for this one i really wanna do it all myself. The paint was spray on with60 psi. Not rattle can stuff.
one more thing from a few feet you cant tell the paint has a texture. Which i love cause every time i pull up to a red light or a gas station it never fails people start to look tryn to figure out what exactly is the paint.

We have another memeber who has a monte carlo with Bed liner on here as well. I like the look but my concern is can you get that off if you ever wanted to repaint it or lower the value of a resale??

Another thing im wondering is will that save the car or can water get trapped under the paint?? becuase I want to bedliner the bottom of my car and just drive in winter haha.

@ YGspider the manufacture says it protects from RUST its also a sound deadener. And it also kept the inside cooler. I can say it has kept the interior cooler i live in Southern California and this year we had a couple weeks of 90-100 plus degree weather the paint came in real handy. The sound deadener as well i can tell the difference especially in the freeway with windows up. As far as the the paint removal. Well my first practice hood i remove the paint with a 400grit on a DA sander. As far as the resale value. I guess your right its either you like it or not. But all the people ive spoke to love it especially since its something new. Different! I bought my car with a really sun faded OEM color RUBY RED. That looked more like a red brick color. So anything other than that is fine by me! 8)

I think it's pretty neat, nothing that I'd want to do to my car, but it is pretty damn slick. I guess stone chips aren't an issue.
