The first Saturday in June every year holds host to the annual car show and cruise nite in Three Hills Alberta Canada.
Three Hills is nothing but a tiny little farming town on the Canadian prairies, but the show easily triples the population for the weekend. I made my yearly trip out there to check out this year’s rides, and thought some of you would enjoy seeing the ones that were outstanding and appealed to me.
Fellow GBF member NorthernRegal contacted me the night before about stopping by and checking out the Rktpwrd skunkworks when he was going to be in Calgary the following day, but unfortunately we weren’t able to connect because I’d already made plans to take in this show. I did manage to persuade him to check things out in Three Hills on his way home tho, so hopefully it made up for my not being around today.
Anyways, here’s some of what was there.
Beautiful ‘68 Cutlass convertible, my favourite year of the GM Olds A bodies:
The engine in it was well done too with a (presumably) bored and stroked 455...
...and serpentine accessory drive:
For you Regal fans, there was this clean T-top T-Type example...
A Ford GT40...
...and this sweet ‘64 Impala laid out on air.
Want horsepower? How about a blown Boss 9 429 in a ‘56 F100?
Fords not your style? How about an 8-71 huffed 572 in a ‘69 Camaro? This thing was not only tubbed and ‘caged, but was also sporting wheelie bars on the street!
Then there was this gorgeous ‘67 Chevy II. It had one of the cleanest and well thought out engine bays in it at the show IMO:
‘83 Hurst Olds:
And another F-100, I’m thinking it was a ‘53 or so.
This was but a small part of the vehicles in attendance this year, it was a great day and way to spend it in the sun. Hope y’all enjoyed the pics.
