Tilt column problem

I was working on my tilt column to tighten it and somehow I've managed to get the moveable part of the column pointing to the left about 30 degrees. I tried to get it straight and it doesn't want to move and I don't want to force it. The tilt head still goes up and down. Any ideas on how to fix this?

i Just did that last week. I think it happened to me too. I think i had to use a little force while pulling back on the tilt lever to remove it and put it on straight. Hope that helps.
