Howdy Neighbors!
Just got home today with my son's new ride. Last week we bought a '78 Cutlass Supreme w/54,900 original miles. Found it on Craigslist, was an original New England car that fortunately did not see years of winter travel. Paid for it last week, got tags and insurance and picked it up today. Car was 150 miles away, so two 300 mile round trips in one week made for some seat time.
Car is a solid original, blue w/blue vinyl top. Drivetrain is the mighty 260 V8 and the stout TH200. :D
A good base to build on, drove it home without incident. Found the build sheet under the rear seat, lucked into the FE2 442 suspension pkg on this one. Was wondering why it cornered so well! Needs a bit of attention here and there, tune up and tire balancing to start. Was lucky enough to find a guy in the same town selling a TH350 (BOP pattern) with 64k miles on it, and a replacement remote mirror for real short money before we got the car today.
Look forward to hanging out and learning these cars all over again, had a '79 Malibu many moons ago 20170730_110907.jpg 20170730_111004.jpg .Best car I ever had.

Welcome to the forum!! That's a nice cutlass your son has got there!
I really like the color and the white walls look pretty cool too!
Good score on that suspension package as well, you'll find that there's even more potential with these cars with the right parts and get it handling to modern standards.

Welcome to the forum. I grew up in New England (CT) so I understand how lucky you are finding such a nice car that did not get use in the Winter from what it sounds like. Great find!
