Wheels are on the UPS truck that will be here before the end of the day.
Looking for a set of tires. Until I changed the rear tires on the coupe I had BFGs all the way around. It seems the price of BFGs has gone up a little since the last time I bought a couple. Whats everyone buying out there for 15" ? Coopers ? Theres a tire made by General but it looks like it belongs on a crossover and not a car. Should I just bite the bullet and stick with the T/As ?

There is a Canada-wide tire chain called KalTire. A few years ago I bought 4 of their house brand (Norden) snow tires. After 2 years they started failing one after the other. I looked closely at each tire ... "Made in Russia"

Last year when I was looking for 15" tires for my 71 LeMans I couldn't believe how much BFG radial ta's cost these days. I wound up going with a Hankook kinergy as they were very reasonably priced and seemed to have very good reviews online. They look good, and have a very quiet smooth ride. 20210830_175010.jpg 20210830_175017.jpg 20210830_181511.jpg

Those do look like they have a nice tread pattern. I've looked at those in 235/60 & 215/65 15's & seem a bit cheaper than some of the other brands.

I'd say depends how much meat you're looking for and how you plan on driving it.

If it's just a cruiser, and you're going a conservative 215 width, you can actually stuff a michelin defender ltx under there and have great traction especially in the wet.

I’ve got 15” mile star streetsteels on my wagon and 14” on my ranger. I like them a lot. Basically $40 cheaper than a cooper cobra g/t. Plus I think the lettering looks better than the cooper cobras

If I recall correct Michelin had some ownership stake in Hankook tire.
Looking at the tread pattern in the photo's it ALMOST looks like a Michelin X one tire. I also remember a local tire dealer/ discount store referring to Hankook tires as a "Korean Michelin".
A few fellow car enthusiasts have ran the white wall version on their full size mid 70's Lincolns and Cadillacs and absolutely love them.
