Hey everyone,
I have a issue that may be so simple that this question is deemed idiotic but never the less I need some help from y’all, I installed front UMI upper and lower tubular control arms, with Viking coil overs, a 2” drop spindle, and the standard slotted disc brake upgrade from inline tube on my 87 442. I also replaced all the ball joints, torsion bar, idler arms etc. The car is still under restoration and currently has no engine for front clip. I have not torqued any of the ball joints, and left them finger tight as I assumed that once the engine is in that’s when I should get everything torqued down. The control arms were tightened down and torqued. The issue I am seeing is the inside tire is now rubbing against the front side of the upper control arm when in full steering lock. Has anybody had this problem? Could it be because the front end components are not tightened and aligned yet or could it be my wheel? I am running stock 15x7’s.
Thanks

Only the front rub, does not touch the back of the control arm.

I thought about that but I’m pretty sure they are correct as they were labeled when I installed them. Not sure how to tell otherwise either

Can't comment on the arms hitting, but the ball joints should be tightened when assembled, the control arms should be left loose until the full load (engine/trans/sheetmetal/fluids, etc) is on the chassis. Otherwise, they bushings are going to be preloaded once the weight is on them, which often results in premature wear.

Isn’t that going to correct when he puts some weight (motor) in it?

Or he needs to borrow a couple of Druggles fat ballast women for a minute.
