I have BF Goodrich AT's on it now 245/60/14's
I want a less aggressive tire/tread as it is only a fair weather driver. Should I look for a 245/60/14 size replacement I like to look of the 60's and may go thinner in the front.

Your Thought's

Have you thought about going to a 15in rim and opening your tire availability? If you stay with 14's a 70 series would fill the wheel well more - 2 inches bigger than 60's

As stated above, going to a 15" rim would increase your choice of tire sizes, and give you a better chance of "filling" up the wheelwells. I know that the 14" Hurst/442 rims are kind of unique, and that particular style of rim only came as a 14" rim, but it does limit your choice of tire size.

I have a couple sets of 15" Ralleys in Central PA if you are interested. you could run 235-60-15s all the way around with them

I do not plan to change the rims I would like to keep the width of the tires in the back and maybe something a little thinner in the front the height of the tire is fine.

your tires are 25.57" tall, to keep that height, but be thinner would be tough! 205-70-14 is a little shorter, 205-75-14 is a little taller G ( or A body) cars are pretty good up to about 26.3 in the front and 28" in the rear without fitment issues

I have 235/60R14 front 245/60R14 rear installed by PO. Not much visual difference between 235 and 245. They both have a lot of rubber squishing out on either side of the 6 inch wide rims. But if I ever pick up a nail, I will go narrower all around. 1) Limited rubber for 14 inch rims and 2) the squashed sidewalls make me uneasy about unusual stresses in the tires.

If it is a stock 14x6 do not go 245. If you want sidewall try 205 - 225 in a 70 or 75 profile.

Consider a 205/70R14 or 215/70R14 in a Cooper Cobra, a bit more modern tread than the BFG TA's. I have 205/70R14 front and 225/70R14 in BFG TA's on my factory 88 aluminum wheels, looks good.

I've ran both a 245-60 and a 215-70 on my Monte Carlo Checkerboards. Main benefit of the 215-70 was at the time finding it in a Michelin brand (Sears Roadhandler) and a thin white stripe.
The Checkerboards are a 14 x 6.5 wheel
