? To QP Ford 9 owners

Did any of you transfer the bump-stop from your original rear to the 9? QP told me it was unnecessary and useless. I want to know what you people think/ have done.

I don't even have one on my 7.5 and I'm lowered; the rubber rusted off of it. Unless you're laying frame with air bags, it'll be fine, especially if you installed stiffer springs.

Thanx, that’s good to know. I’ve got the UMI control arms, KYB gas shocks, and Moog ( uncut ) coil springs. Guess I’ll be ok.

I have a Moser 9" without a bump stop and no issues and my car sits pretty low, I have had a few Gbody's where it looks like the bump stop just fell off it's mount on a 7.5".

Thanx guys, now I don’t have to transfer the ( rust free) bumpstop bracket from one rear to the other .

I thnk if you had needed them QP would have installed them or given you the option to have them installed

They were seldom ever useful from the factory. At the point that they were useful, you were probably using the wrong vehicle for the job.
