I have a 1979 Chevy Malibu with stock suspension I'm looking to buy some American racing torq thrust wheels part number vn6157861 for it I'm considering 17 by 8 inch wheels with 4.07 backspacing , -11 offset will these wheels fit good on the car without sticking out from under the wheel wells I would like to run a 235 50 17 Tire any help THANKS

The width and backspacing will fit fine on any corner. The tire shouldn’t be an issue, but may rub just a little in front at full lock. Each car seems to be different and the ride height affects it as well.

If it helps, I have these Torq Thrust rims installed on my 1978 Lemans. And they fit perfectly concerning the look ;) Have a picture. It is edited though, since it was a "retro"-shooting for muscle-cars of the era after the second petrol-crisis ;)
