Thanks to new rules at work (new manager) since coming back to work since being laid off for Covid 19 they decided no one can take a work truck home for anything, something I have been doing for 20 years like going home for lunch since I live 3 miles away, and I consistently doing repairs on all of our trucks, welding and basic maintenance / electrical etc..
So after Today having to come to work with all the tools I think I need to do a repair on a liftgate I realized I will no longer have easy access to a truck so now I am thinking of getting a small trailer for "just in case" to be pulled by my daily driver a 2003 Taurus 3.0 DOHC so I am looking at Reese and Curt class 2 hitches I am just wondering what would be the best choice they are all reasonably priced and I don't plan on carrying a lot of weight.
Here are some listed on Summit.

I'm sure you can't go wrong with either brand. I'm pleased with my new Curt hitch. Real quality made piece. Reese has been around for years.

I'll just put it out there, those transmissions aren't known for durability so I would be careful what you hooked up to it.

It would be a small trailer, mainly for stuff that is too big to fit in the car and not that heavy.
Heaviest thing I might haul would be a bare BBC going to the machine shop.

Gotcha. I figured I would at least mention it since the trans is usually what kills that era of Taurus.

Yeah, I figured if I had to wait for a used one to come up I'd be an old man....or an older man :giggle:
