I have a turbo 350 trans in my 84 cutlass supreme 307. I have a r700 i want to put in it. I was wondering what all i would have to change to put the r700 in my car, will i need a different driveshaft? will it just bolt right in? Thanks!

I don't think the 700r will bolt up to the 307. I believe the 700r has a chevy bolt pattern and the 307 uses a BOP pattern. I might be wrong though.

ok so any trans from a chevy wont fit on my car? Because i can aslso get my hands on a rebuilt th350 with a shift kit.

i thought they made something like an adapter plate thing for that though? only trans with the universal bell housing that i know of is the 200r4 other than that chevys differnt than olds, you got your chevy bellhousings and then your BPO bellhousings, (buick pontiac oldsmobile)y your gonna have to find a trans with a BPO bellhousing

you can try and i mean try to get your hands on a universal 200r4 IF you can find one
best way to tell the diff between a BOP and a chevy trans is BOP has a half circle design while the chevy has a triangle look

the universals with have ALOT of holes around the bellhousing

i have a 200r4 sitting in my garage with the universal bell housing(junk internals tho), i have gone threw about 6 200r4s in my life, and all were universal bell housing, i didnt think they were rare? i may be wrong and just got lucky haha are they rare?

You can use the TH350, as long as its the BOP type.

:?: :?: :?:

"IF you can find one"?????

You'd be hard pressed to find one that ISN'T dual bolt pattern. I've seen pictures of one of the very early BOP-only 200-4R transmissions, and I've heard rumors of (but never seen) a Chevy-only version, but 99% of all 200-4R cases are dual bolt pattern.
