dang I was hoping that the trans wasnt going out, could anything else make it jerk back like that or is it just going bad?

How did the old one fit? Are they different?

i got it to fit i had to loosen the bolts then lower the trans then i tighten up the bolts

lift one rear wheel up and see how much play there is, if theres a lot see where its coming from, could be in the rear end, spider gears or something, or hopefully just a u joint, or maybe something in the transmission, good luck!

u-joints or differential - I'd think you'd be complaining of a clunk in drive as well as reverse. Most reputible transmission shops will testdrive the car and diagnose a trans issue at n/c. You don't constantly park on an incline nose uphill do you? Do you use the parking brake?

Could be your motor mount as well, my motor mount broke and then with that being broke it then broke my trans mount. when i would press the gas my motor would lift up too much from the motor mount being broke and thats what broke the trans mount. just an idea

It can be alot of things that can cause this, bad torque converter or too high of a stall, high idle, midadjusted shifter linkage...
