Transmission to drive shaft clearence

Im nearing the end of my motor swap and i have another could-be problem. The motor is sitting on the motor mounts and wont allow the trans to engage the drive-shaft any further. The slip yoke is 85% in the transmission, it feels nice and solid and it looks like it could be ok, but what do i know. By looking at the pictures, can you guys tell me if im in good shape or if i need a longer drive shaft? Much thanks.

is that pic with the rear wheels off the ground? either way it looks fine.
 
It should be out by around 1/2 in-1in so that it can have movement with the rear axle.
 
you can also look carefully at the yoke--the really shiny part of the shaft is always in the trans, the somewhet shiny/clean part (should be pretty small) slides in and out, and obviously the rusted part stays out.
 
if the rear wheels are off the ground thats how it should be cause when the rear axle hangs don the drive shaft need to extend which is what its looking like

if the cars up set it down then look at it
