just an fyi I bought one for my monte and my headers dont line up, i called jegs and they told me that the crossmember was designed to be used with flotech headers pt#11104flt and the crossmember was also designed for factory v8 cars and will not work on 6cyl g bodies... food for thought, might give them a ring.

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.

i had a jegs brand double hump for my 700r4, it was ok, i got a g force double hump for my 200r4, i like that one much much more, the g force one has more of an opening for exhaust angles and what not, they are quite the squeeze going in but they do the job

I used my Jegs 700R4 Double Hump Cross Member when I installed a t5 trans. Works great..

I have a G-Force crossmember with a Chevy 350 and Flowtech headers.... I had no problem mounting it in, but the headers needed a lot of work to fit. I had to grind an ear off the right side of the transmission bellhousing and on the left side I had to grind off some of the box tubing on the crossmember. The left exhaust pipe is real close to the member....... I was grinding on the mounting flange to bring the header out for more clearence. Worst fit ever in my expierence!!!! The Supreme myth is crap.... All frames for A and G body are all the same!

that whole cutlass supreme deal is crap, there is nothing different about them in the g body years, only the earlier 70s cutlass supremes i think so thats where that came from.I got the jegster crossmember after the gbodyparts one didnt fit at all and it bolted right in.Mine fits and i'm using dyonmax blackjack headers also.

Maybe because of the offset transmission mount. Even though all you would need to do is get the standard mount to replace it. IF that is the case you would think it would be easier just to put a disclaimer in there rather than say it won't work.

If you were to buy the " Summit" brand of crossmember for the true dual exhaust...You are getting a G-Force crossmember, which I have and LOVE..... Why would you go the extra mile to notch out a stock one when you can get one from Iceman for a decent price.............That whole Cutlass supreme thing is B/S my friend... A G body is a G Body 🙂

As I mentioned above, even that is a myth. I know there are plenty of guys that run headers on the old Cutlass Supreme's that didn't have any problems at all.

Well, I went ahead and ordered the one off of Gbodyparts.com. Hopefully it bolts in ok, I'm not looking to spend my two weeks home trying to line up a piece of steel tubing. I'll post whether it worked well or not. The more I read your replies the more I see a lot of varying opinions on these crossmembers. I guess I'll have to find out for myself. Thanks for the fast responses.

dont forget to buy the bushings!!!
