I know they're dated, but I have a complete unit sitting on a shelf and a fresh roller cam 355 to go in my Elco. My concern is that I remember from back in the day that other than stock camshafts will trigger the knock sensor. I was originally going to use an Air Gap and a 600 Holley. My engine is very mild, camshaft specs say 1400-5800 rpm. Are there any threads in the archive for TPI swaps? I can't find a Search button.

You have to make sure you get the chip reprogrammed. I ran a TPI based setup for years, and never had a knock issue, even with the Holley stealthram and raunchy cam in my old 355. If the block wouldn't have cracked I'd still be running that setup, and still have the intake setup with fuel rails, distributor, coil, etc. If you need any of the efi stuff let me know, I think I have a couple sensors, even a 3 wire heated o2 sensor too.

I ran a 91 vette speed density setup

Get rid of the 9th injector

Get the VATS program burned out of the chip!!!!

I've heard of gear drives tripping the knock sensor but not a cam. I think you'd be okay.
