Thought transmission pan gasket was leaking, replaced it. Turns out this thing is leaking, what is it? Turbo 350 trans drivers side, the blue and gold thing

You either have a TH250C or TH350C, that is the electrical connector that sends 12V to allow the converter to lock up.

You can, it will work fine as is. It might be worth the effort to get a lockup kit to use it though. Cutting your RPM's down by 200-300 RPM is nothing to sniff at if you are running 2000+ at 55mph.

What would I need to get it working? I have custom wiring.

It uses the same connector as a 2004R. Just that connector and 12 volts with a toggle switch or a vacuum switch to automatically connect and disconnect.
