I just bought a killer 79 el camino. It was a former show car back in the 90's and was put up and not driven for a long time. I bought it and have done a few improvements to get it out of the 90's. I put new wheels and tires, new floormats, and a new steering wheel. But there are several problems with the car that I need help with!!
The headlights work. Both the high beams and the low beams. The park lights and tail lights work, front and back. The brake lights work. BUT the turn signals do NOTHING. And oddly enough, when I press the brake, the front parks light up brightly (both filaments in the bulb) When I press the brake, the left turn signal INDICATOR in the gauge cluster lights up. Also, the turn signal switch feels funky. You can hear it click-in, left and right, but its sloppy feeling and you have to concentrate on it because if you don't hold the stalk just right, the stalk will just fall out of the column.. but you can stick it back in there good enough to be able to hear the thing click left and right.... How should I go about troubleshooting this problem?
