Another simple question I can't seem to find a straight yes / no answer to. Do the GM type 2 power steering pumps have the same bolt locations as the old school saginaw / delphi pump? Would I need special brackets to convert from one to the other on a plain jane 305?
My other question is if the hydraulic connections to the pump remain the same. Would I need custom hoses to connect the two?

You'll need a mount made for it. There are head mounts and block mounts. You'll need custom lines and reservoir as well. The circle track shops usually carry them in stock. AllStar Performance and Bicknell Racing Products make them. I'm sure there are others.

Exactly what pump are you using?
