Adjustable Upper Front A-arm for the 1978-1988 GM G-Body
P/N 3056, 3056-1, 3056-2, 3056-3
Price Starting at $449.99

Today’s Pro Touring G-bodies are handling like never before. Achieve your goal of awesome handling with UMI’s new 3056 adjustable upper a-arm. This arm precisely locates a tall upper ball joint which in turn improves the camber curve and results in more front end grip. The advanced design of the a-arm also relocates the ball joint plate rearward for increased caster and improved stability and steering feel. The CrMo cross shaft holds two precision rod ends which are used to adjust the caster and camber. These precision bent tubes are TIG welded to the laser cut ball joint pad which houses a 1.0” or 0.5” taller upper ball joint (standard or deleted ball joint also available). A laser cut bump stop brace completes the arm. If used for drag racing, the 3056 can also accommodate a travel limiter. In addition, the 3056 can be used with most other aftermarket tall spindles intended to fit the G-body application. The 3056 is available in beautiful red or black powder coat. UMI chooses US materials and proudly designs, manufactures, races and tests out of our facility in Philipsburg, PA – USA.

How much is the camber improved? I really hate how the outside tire leans away from the car. Since Blazer spindles can be swapped in without any issues, I'm guessing these will work with Blazer spindles as well?

These are very similar to the SPC arms in location, just different design in how they adjust. They also feature the bump stop option you won't find on the SPC arms.

We have some charts we will post shortly. Camber gain is improved when adding tall ball joints to simulate a tall spindle. We have the option of 1/2" or 1" taller upper ball joints. Camber gain will increase with the 1" taller ball joint.

Will a 1" taller ball joint require a shorter upper control arm?. If it does is there enough adjustment to compensate for the length needed on the upper?

This arm was designed directly on the Green Machine to accommodate the 1" upper at its shortest point, 1/2" upper at the middle of the adjustment and the standard ball joint at its longest point...

I think I'll have to get me a set of those. Are the 1" taller joints rebuildable and are they low friction ball joints. I have never seen that design for a taller ball joint,
