UMI Upper rear adjustable control arm adjustment

Well long story short I bought umi upper rear control arms and my car was at buddys shop so before he painted it he put the rear back in. He has the adjustments off I was wondering if anyone knows of a good point to start with measurement wise? I dont have the stock ones to go by so I am kind of in the dark on this one.

You need to measure your pinion angle and adjust the uppers accordingly. Why do you think the adjustment is off?

If all the control arms have Factory bushings: Set Pinion Angle 3 degrees to 4 degrees downward.

If all the control arms have Poly bushings: Set Pinion Angle 2 1/2 degrees to 3 degrees downward.

If all the control arms have Solid bushings: Set Pinion Angle 1 degrees to 1 ½ degrees downward.

Get one of these they are about 10 buxx at Home Dopey or less at Harbor Freight

What got me looking at was one spring was not setting in cup on the axle.After climbing under the driver side tire is almost touching the frame rail so I started turning on them and it pulled it back but not sure if it is close to being right. I thought if someone new the stock dimensions I would start there then adjust the angle accordingly.

that's ideal,hopefully someone that has access to measuring their arms will be able to chime in and give you a hand.

I just saw the Car Fix episode that they worked on two turbo Buicks (black GN, white T Type) & used the old arm to set the stock lenth to install them before making any adjustments on the white car that git a set of UMI's

I will be under my car this week while off work. I will measure bolt center to bolt center for you. Do you need lower measurement also?

Dont bother buying an angle finder, if you happen to have an iphone there is one in your compass app
