I pulled the harness from my 1982 El Camino which originally had a 231 v6. It had that removed along with the emissions crap and a carbed 350 installed when I bought it. I'm going through the harness now in prep for my LS swap and I have a few connectors I don't think are needed but haven't been able to ID them yet. I think perhaps the largest white one is maybe the computer connection? It also had AC and cruise. Model was a Conquista.

Heh, just figured out that backup light switch one. I think the tap was on there to hook up to an aftermarket shifter console light maybe.

wonder why they would want the console light only when they were in reverse...

yeah... either that or they just did a quick and dirty install, leaving the connector on there and then tapping into it. Since connector wouldn't fit on new shifter.

The first pic with the pink/black stripe and purple wires plugs into the back of the brake light switch

I am in the process of removing my harness from my Regal. My 84 regal has that same plug in your second pic. The pink/black stripe, black/white stripe, and the solid brown wire. It is just hanging loose in the dash by the wire bundle that has the radio wires and the diagnostic port wires. The pink wire runs over to the ACC fuse. The black wire runs out to the ground wire that bolts to one of the top bell housing bolts. The brown wire tones out over to the ecm plug in the passenger footwell. Safe to say you can get rid of that plug.

looks like its tapped into the power side of the back up switch.

first pic looks like brake switch connector

second pic looks like possible cruise connector for wire from steering column.

third pic i've seen before, but not sure. maybe for behind radio or glove box, going towards computer?
