in my 87 Monte Carlo is see some extra 12v and ignition terminals that ca be tapped into, does anyone know the current rating of the wiring connected to these?

The previous owner completely removed the heat and ac, so I'm adding heat back in the car and looking for a source for power. The system I'm using has a 30amp breaker...it would be nice to tap into the factory wiring as an option too, so if anyone has a wiring schematic or any info it would be helpful.

Thanks.

a breaker isn't the same as a fast fuse

As you can see from the wiring diagrams it is not an plug in. If they did not remove the original wiring you should see the wires at the right rear of the engine compartment as you are sitting in the car. Jam up wiring diagrams pontiacgp

Thanks for the schematic, that's perfect. The kit I'm using has a built in 30amp breaker, but I just removed it and tied the system directly into the brown feed wire for the factory ac system and found a new ground.

Haven't run the coolant lines, but so far it works great and I even have it setup to control the factory dash/defrost blend doors.

That time of year and getting cool. First cold front hitting south Georgia today. Do not forget that if heater is not heating as it should to check coolant level and thermostat.
