Thought I’d share this, know one outside community knows what I’m talking about,,,,,or cares

Low and behold finally obtained one on Craigslist $20.00, over 100 miles away got a ride-share who paid for part and delivered for $80.00
I’ve searched forever since they don’t make them anymore.
I can lose the Edlebrock smog legal direct bolt on to stock single exhaust system,,, finally. Big hassle changing plugs and getting to starter, etc. Takes up so much room can barely see the ground. The power gains weren’t significant enough for me to keep them. Want more HP? Bigger displacement
In Hog heaven today Yipee LOL

Galaxy far far away
The old TES headers were good for a 20 HP boost over stock manifolds for a HO L69. Probably not as much on a lower CR LG4. I use a special telescoping spark plug socket for the plugs. The Hooker 2050 smog legal headers were better than the TES, better flow and easier spark plug access. However, the Hooker headers are not as common as TES.

Good score! I have been looking for a Pontiac V-8 single head pipe forever. I can get RAM AIR manifolds stainless exhaust at the corner drugstore but I can't get a stock single exhaust head pipe for love or money.

Mark, what exactly are you looking for in a Pontiac y pipe? I think I may have one from a 301 g body with 3 bolt flanges. I would have to look to be sure i still have it though.

Jim that is exactly what i am looking for! I have a 455 head pipe from a '75 Catalina stashed away, but it is not a good fit for a G body. I have a 301 in my Bonnewagon right now and I have been patching the head pipe for years. See if you have it and is it solid. Road trip?
