Hi all,

I have a 1987 Buick and I'm repairing some electrical issues.

First puzzle is an unknown dangling brown and white wire with a factory looking connector on the end. The wire looks yellow in the pic because of the flash. The wire gets +12v on ignition.

Anybody know what it's for and where it goes?

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

So I didn't see the contact switch. I did see a 4-wire connector next to the hood release lever (see pic).
There's some insulation and a plastic shroud on both sides of the hood release cable. Can you tell me where the contact switch is in relation to the connector in the picture?

Thanks in advance!
